1. Acceptance of Terms

By renting a vehicle from Gihixo, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the "Renter") and Gihixo (the "Company"). If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not proceed with the rental.

2. Rental Eligibility Requirements

To rent a vehicle from Gihixo, you must meet the following criteria:

• Be at least 21 years of age (25 years for luxury and specialty vehicles)
• Hold a valid driver's license that has been active for a minimum of one year
• Provide a valid credit card in your name for security deposit purposes
• Present valid government-issued photo identification
• Have no major traffic violations or license suspensions in the past three years

3. Rental Reservation and Payment

All reservations are subject to vehicle availability. We accept reservations online, by phone at +1 437 819 5672, or by email at [email protected]. Payment is required at the time of vehicle pickup unless otherwise arranged.

4. Vehicle Use and Restrictions

The rented vehicle must be operated in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. The following restrictions apply:

• The vehicle may only be driven by the authorized driver(s) listed on the rental agreement
• Smoking, vaping, and transportation of pets are strictly prohibited unless specifically authorized
• The vehicle must not be used for racing, towing, pushing, or any illegal activities
• Cross-border travel requires prior written authorization from Gihixo
• Off-road driving is strictly prohibited
• The vehicle must not be subleased or used for ride-sharing services

5. Insurance and Liability

Basic insurance coverage is included in all rental rates. However, the Renter is responsible for any damage to the vehicle, theft, or loss occurring during the rental period. We strongly recommend purchasing our comprehensive coverage options for additional protection. The Renter assumes full liability for all traffic violations, parking tickets, and toll charges incurred during the rental period.

6. Fuel Policy

All vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank. If the vehicle is returned without a full tank, refueling charges will apply at a premium rate plus a service fee.

7. Cancellation and Modification Policy

Reservations may be cancelled or modified up to 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time without penalty. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before pickup or no-shows will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to one day's rental charge. Changes to existing reservations are subject to vehicle availability and may result in rate adjustments.

8. Vehicle Return and Late Fees

The vehicle must be returned to our location at 247 Palmerston Avenue, Toronto, M6G 2N7 by the date and time specified in the rental agreement. A grace period of 30 minutes is provided. Late returns will be charged at an hourly rate, and returns exceeding 2 hours late will be charged for an additional full day.

9. Damage and Accident Procedures

In the event of an accident, theft, or damage to the vehicle, the Renter must immediately contact Gihixo at +1 437 819 5672 and file a police report. Failure to report incidents promptly may result in denial of insurance coverage and full liability for damages.

10. Privacy and Data Protection

Gihixo is committed to protecting your personal information. All data collected during the rental process is used solely for rental purposes and is handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except as required by law.

11. Limitation of Liability

Gihixo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from vehicle rental or use. Our total liability shall not exceed the total rental charges paid by the Renter.

12. Amendments to Terms

Gihixo reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any modifications.
